- Scope
- Sloping front garden, three levels
What we were working with
A steep, mature front garden with lovely trees, failing timber terraces and a step run that had become genuinely unsafe at night.
What we built
We replaced the timber with stone-faced terrace walls, rebuilt the steps in natural stone with consistent risers and integrated step lighting, and replanted the terraces with a layered shade palette under the existing canopy.
How it turned out
A garden that keeps its mature character on structure that will outlast the timber by decades.

Materials & methods
- Stone-faced terrace walls
- Natural stone steps
- Shade-tolerant layered planting
- Drip irrigation
- Step and path lighting
