The goal
Define separate dining and lounge areas while making the visible level change part of a cohesive backyard layout.
Design & construction approach
Broad timber steps connect the two, while rectangular stepping slabs mark the foreground approach.
The finished result
The tall hedge forms a green backdrop, and visible step lights accent the changes in level.
