The goal
The backyard was mostly lawn the family barely used — no destination to sit at, no clear path between the house and the rest of the space, and planting beds that read as leftover edges rather than part of a design.
Design & construction approach
The planting beds were rebuilt with a tropical palette on dedicated drip zones, and a flagstone walkway in the same stone runs through the yard so the patio, beds and house all read as one project instead of three.
