What we were working with
The original slab was cracked, sloped toward the house and took up half the yard without giving the family anywhere to actually sit.
What we built
We demoed the slab, re-graded away from the structure, and set a paver patio zoned for dining and lounging with a seat wall dividing the two. A turf pad went in for the kids and the perimeter beds were rebuilt on drip.
How it turned out
A backyard with three defined zones and drainage that finally moves water to the side yard.

Materials & methods
- Dimensional concrete pavers
- Block seat wall with stone cap
- Class II base
