What we were working with
Afternoon onshore wind made the patio unusable most days, and salt was eating the fasteners on everything the previous contractor installed.
What we built
We placed the patio in the sheltered corner the wind data actually supported, planted a windbreak hedge on the exposed side, and re-specified every fastener and fixture in stainless or coated finishes.
How it turned out
A patio that is comfortable at 4pm and hardware that will still be there in five years.
