What we were working with
Front and back both needed work and the budget only felt like it covered one — the yard had been split-personality for years.
What we built
We sequenced the work so demo and base prep happened once across both yards, which brought the combined cost close to what a single-yard project would have run. Front got a new walk and porch planting; back got the paver patio and raised beds.
