Concrete Contractors in San Diego

Concrete is still the most versatile hardscape surface — poured to any shape, finished a dozen ways, and built to carry weight.

We pour patios, driveways, walkways and slabs for outdoor kitchens and structures.

What we build

  • Patios, walkways and driveways
  • Stamped and textured concrete
  • Acid-stained and integrally colored finishes
  • Broom, salt and smooth trowel finishes
  • Slabs for outdoor kitchens, sheds and structures
  • Demolition and replacement of failed slabs

Historic Craftsman Restoration

South Park

The house reads the way it did when Bob grew up in it — architecture back where it belonged, on a foundation and drainage system built for the next several decades.

Subgrade, reinforcement, joints

Concrete cracks — the job is controlling where. Compacted subgrade, correct reinforcement and thoughtfully placed control joints keep cracking in the joints instead of across the middle of your patio.

Finish choices that age well

Heavy stamped patterns can date quickly. We tend toward finishes and joint layouts that still read clean in ten years, and we seal where the finish needs it.

Common questions

Why does concrete crack in San Diego?
Most often expansive clay moving under the slab, compounded by shallow base, missing reinforcement or control joints spaced too far apart. Concrete does not fail on its own — the ground under it moves.
What concrete finishes do you offer?
Broom, salt finish, exposed aggregate, stamped, colored, sawcut patterns and smooth-troweled modern slabs with integral color.
How soon can I use a new patio?
Foot traffic after about 48 hours, furniture after a week, vehicles on a driveway after roughly 28 days at full cure.
Are you licensed for concrete work in San Diego?
Yes. Staples Landscaping holds California contractor license #1159370, carries liability and workers' compensation coverage, and pulls permits on any work that requires them. You can verify the license directly with the CSLB.
Do you serve my part of San Diego County?
We work across San Diego County — coastal, central, inland, East County and South Bay. Each area has its own soil, climate and permitting reality, which is why we publish neighborhood-level pages rather than one generic service area list.
