What we were working with
Scale. A long drive, several disconnected outdoor areas, and lighting that stopped fifty feet from the house.
What we built
We treated it as one composition — masonry at the entry, stone terraces defining each outdoor room, mature planting to give the grounds immediate presence, and lighting designed in layers with transformers sized and zoned for the run lengths involved.
How it turned out
Grounds that read as a single estate rather than a collection of separate projects.
