What we were working with
A compact lot overlooked from two sides, where every square foot of the yard had to earn its place.
What we built
We laid out furniture footprints during design so the terrace was sized to how they actually entertain, then handled privacy with a slatted screen wall on one side and columnar trees on the other rather than a solid fence that would have closed the space in.
How it turned out
A small yard that feels private and considerably larger than its dimensions.
