The goal
Give the level change a clear stair route while keeping paving, gravel and planting visually distinct.
Design & construction approach
Timber edging defines the lower planting bed, while a curved rock border separates gravel from the mulched slope.
The finished result
Planting softens the edges, and the stairway provides a visible connection to the upper level.
