What we were working with
A narrow urban courtyard surrounded by three walls, with no planting area and a lot of hard reflected sound.
What we built
We paved in limestone, brought planting in through custom steel planters sized to the space, and softened the tallest wall with a cable trellis and climbers — which also took the edge off the acoustics.
How it turned out
A green urban room in a footprint that previously felt like an alley.
